Candle tools are designed to help us that goal by extending the life of our candles. Not only do they improve their burn performance, but they also can help you avoid a whole host of problems. Here are three common candle tools and how to use each to make your candles last longer!

1.Wick Trimmers:

If you don’t trim the candle wick, it will burn at a hotter, faster rate and the wax will run out faster. When the wick is too long, it is more likely to flicker and move or bend as it burns. This creates an uneven melt pool or candle tunnel. Except for the fact that the wick might mushroom or drop debris into the candle

Fortunately, all the these problems can be avoided by using a wick trimmer to control the wax being drawn to the wick.

But it's not just the first light that needs to be trimmed. The wick needs to be trimmed each time before it is lit again.

 2. Candle Snuffer:

It’s the smartest candle tool. A candle snips is a metal tool with a hinged "bell" or small metal cone in the handle. It is designed to safely suffocate candle flames with very minimal smoke that evaporates quickly. 

Not only will this keep the candle's scent lingering in the air, it will also allow you to avoid any wax splatter that might happen when blow a candle.

3. Wick Dipper:

 Now we move on the third common candle tools----Wick Dipper. Wick dipper is a tool used to keep a wick straight.

Sometimes, when a candle burns for hours, especially if you forget to trim it before lighting it, the wick will lean or curl. If you don't center and straighten the wick, it will result in uneven burn and worst case scenario next time - candle tunneling.

So, just use a wick dipper to center and straighten the wick!

After using a candle snuffer to extinguish the candle flame. Use the hook of the wick dipper to lift up and straighten the wick. Recenter the wick as needed.
