Tips on How to Make Your Reeds Last Longer

BANNER-1

Generally speaking, the average time reeds last of a 120ml--150ml reed diffuser is about 6 months. However, there are ways to extend their lifespan. With proper care, they can last for quite some time. Here are some simple rules and tips on how to make your reed diffuser last as long as possible.

1. Keep Air Circulation to a Minimum

Reed diffuser need some gentle breeze to pick up the scent and spread it about the home. However, you need to avoid placing reed diffuser directly in front of open windows or air conditioning vent. Just a little air circulation is all it takes the fragrance around the room. Placing an air diffuser near drafty areas will increase air circulation, which will dry out your reeds and only last a few weeks. Ultimately, the more circulation the reed diffuser comes in contact with, the sooner you will need to replace them.

2. Avoid Placing the Diffuser in Warm Areas

Avoid placing the reed diffuser in warm areas, such as window sills in direct sunlight. As a general rule of thumb, reed diffuser should actually be kept in a cooler, darker spaces or environment. Doing this will prevent your reeds from drying out, minimizing how often you need to change them. In other words, fill your home with the fall scent of a pumpkin diffuser throughout the fall, and store it in a cool, dark place during the warmer months so you can take it out again--good as new--to enjoy next fall.

3. Do not flip the reed diffuser stick too frequently

When the scent is not particularly strong, we often suggest customer to flip the reed sticks to enhance the fragrance. However, frequent turning of the diffuser reeds will speed up the consumption of reed diffuser. As a general rule of thumb, you should turn the diffuser reeds every 2-3 weeks to let the scent alive. Submerging in the oil gives the dry ends of reeds a chance to soak up whatever it can, while the previously submerged bottom stands out and projects an immediately stronger scent. When you flip the sticks for many times but still have no fragrance, that’s a sure sign the reed sticks are no longer doing their job, you need to buy some sticks to replace them. You can find a new reed diffuser stick, rattan stick or fiber stick in our shop. No MOQ, any quantity can be accept. Welcome inquiry.
