Here's what you need to know about how they work and how to choose the right diffuser stick to create light, beautiful and long-lasting scent for homes, offices, hotels, spas, lounges and other areas. Choosing the wrong reed diffuser will mean the scent doesn't diffuse as well as it should.
1. Rattan Stick material is Indonesia Grade AA rattan, Fiber Stick material is polyester stretch yarn.
2. Rattan Stick surface is textured. Fiber Stick surface is smooth.
3. Rattan diffuser sticks absorb the diffuser liquids through the vascular pipes; fibre diffuser sticks absorb the diffuser liquids through the gaps between one piece polyester filament and another piece polyester filament.

4. Rattan Stick have 40 - 80 vascular pipes in one piece rattan diffuser sticks with specification 3mm 20cm (quality grade AA Indonesia rattan), and each vascular pipe is a capillary channel;
5. Fiber stick have more than 10,000 pieces polyester filaments in one piece fibre diffuser sticks with specification 3mm 20cm and each gap between two pieces polyester filaments becomes a capillary channel.
We've been doing a lot of testing over the years to test the diffusion properties of these two different materials in different diffusion liquids, and finally we discovered this.
1. Rattan diffuser sticks are suitable for oil-based diffusers, especially high-density oil-based diffusers; fiber diffuser sticks are suitable for most diffusers, including oil-based diffusers, alcohol-based diffusers and Water-based fragrance diffuser.
2. It is more difficult for rattan aromatherapy sticks to absorb pure water, while fiber aromatherapy sticks can easily absorb pure water; the reason is that the radius of the "capillary tube" in the fiber diffusion rod is much smaller.
3. Fiber diffuser sticks diffuse much better (faster) than rattan sticks in most diffusing liquids.
